Beckford’s Rum brand owner Lesley Astley and her son Lester were invited to Japan by the UK Department of Business & Trade to meet and network with Japanese drinks importers and distributors in Osaka and Tokyo.
The trip was a great success and we are delighted to be shipping our first consignment of Beckford’s Rum to Tokyo.
We were delighted to be invited by the UK Department for Business and Trade to take part in the ‘Spirits of the United Kingdom’ showcasing event in New Delhi and Mumbai recently. The aim of the visit was to introduce and promote the best of British craft spirits to Indian buyers.
Beckford’s Rum tastings went down very well with local buyers and we had some very productive meetings. The one week program included knowledge sessions, retail store tours and tasting sessions where we showcased our award-winning rums and whiskies to importers, distributors and retailers. We met some lovely people and very much enjoyed our first visit to New Delhi and Mumbai. More news to follow..
