Beckford’s Henry Rum featured on ITV’s Love Your Weekend

Beckford’s Henry Barrel Aged Golden Rum was featured on Alan Titchmarsh’s popular ‘Love Your Weekend’ Show this weekend.

Henry, a delicious combination of Barbados & South American rums with a wonderfully smooth finish, was featured by Rum ambassador Ian Burrell, who was demonstrating the best of British rums for Mother’s Day.

The 40% ABV Henry golden rum was made into a ‘Mother’s Rum Sour’ cocktail for Mother’s Day and enjoyed by Alan, actors Phyllis Logan and Kevin McNally, and Eastenders actress Michelle Collins.

Tasting comments included ‘too nice!’ by Michelle Collins and “an absolute corker” by Alan! Why not give the recipe below a go!

  • 30ml Henry’s Barrel Aged Golden Rum
  • 15ml Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg White
  • 15ml Sugar syrup
  • 3 dashes Angostura Bitters

    Method: Shake all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice until cold. Double strain into a champagne coupe glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon

Beckford’s Rum exporting to Canada, France and Germany

We are delighted that our award-winning Beckford’s Rum is heading overseas to Canada, France and Germany, and will soon also be available on Princess Cruises, which takes 1.7 million guests a year to 300 destinations around the world.

Pallets of Beckford’s Pineapple Rum are currently on the high seas heading for Ontario for distribution across the state. The British Shop in Germany is importing our best-selling Caramel Rum, and pallets of rum are heading across the Channel to a mega distribution centre in Calais, for onward distribution across France.

Princess Cruises placed its first order for our Caramel and Banana rums. At 25% ABV for Caramel Rum, and 65% ABV for cask strength Banana Maroon Rum, they cover our full ABV range. 

What could be better than sipping a Beckford’s banana rum cocktail on the deck of a Caribbean cruise ship!

If you’d like to recreate the Caribbean vibe at home, our popular range of Maroon cask strength rums make fabulous cocktails. Just pour into a large glass with ice, put on the reggae music, shut your eyes and you’re there!  Cheers..

Mother’s Day Rum Winner!

Beckford’s Rum wins another 3-Star Great Taste Award

We are thrilled that our delicious 65% ABV Maroon Coffee & Cacao has been awarded a coveted Great Taste 3-Star Award!

Of 13,672 products entered for tasting this year, only 266 won 3-Star Awards – a wonderful achievement by the Beckford’s team and an award-winning drink to add to your shopping list!

The judging panel said:

“A lovely golden brown, which bodes well. The aroma is nicely balanced between the alcohol and coffee despite that whacking 65.00 ABV. What an adventure in the mouth! For a moment, it seems to be overwhelmingly alcoholic but both coffee and chocolate soon cut through alongside the warmth of rum. It feels incredibly viscous and liqueur-like even though it isn’t. The after burn is (naturally!) quite intense but great if you relax into it. Incredible balance for booze with such poke!

“Very, very expressive and big; the heat is considerable, but it is well controlled and an excellent product.”
